A great capsule starts with fabric, not colour. We cut our essentials from pre-washed cotton, brushed twill and breathable poplin so every piece keeps its shape wash after wash.

The fabric checklist
Look for tight weaves, reinforced collars and corozo or metal buttons. If it survives three washes without twisting, it earns a place in the rail.
